The Art of Folk Story Hand Puppetry with Nancy Tyndall: "Who's Knocking on the Door ?"

Five week series: Feb. 23, March 1, 8, 15, and 29

Recommended ages 6-9, Pre-registration required, maximum 6 students

Each class 2 hours long with a snack break, $60/student total fee for the series.

Would you like to learn to put on a puppet show?  Each student will make their own paper-mache hand puppet to portray a character in our story, "Who's Knocking on the Door?"  The original folk story is "The Wolf and the 7 Kids" , but if we want, we can make our own version of the tale. Puppetry always involves imagination, invention, problem-solving, cooperation, and lots of fun.  No previous experience is necessary and shy people are welcome.  The class will culminate with a performance on the last day.  If possible, we might do an additional show for an audience  of seniors or kids elsewhere, too.  Parents do not need to stay, but are welcome, of course.
