In this two-day workshop, you will learn about harvesting, propagation, storage and preparation of willow for weaving. Make a round-base basket in shape and size of your choice. Learn traditional weaves including twining, 3-rod waling, English randing, and 4-rod waled top border. Choose from three different handle designs and go home with a beautiful willow basket that will last for several generations!
Returning students: depending on how full this class gets, I could offer an advanced class for square work, zig-zag weave, and asymmetrical work on the weekend of March 30-31. Please let me know if you are interested in this. (If this class doesn't fill up, you can come and we can have a little corner for advanced work!).
Please spread the word to anyone you think may be interested. I will cap this class at 12 students.
